Susan Meeke, MS, RD, LD, CDE

Fit4D Nutrition Coach

Susan has almost 10 years experience as a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator in Fort Worth, Texas with an MS in nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. She has worked as a clinical dietitian in a hospital and as a diabetes educator and pump trainer for an endocrinologist. Previously Susan worked as the nutrition educator for a hospital based outpatient diabetes self-management program.

She became interested in diabetes when she was a dietetic intern (nutrition student) and grew when she started working as a dietitian. “I decided to pursue a career in nutrition when a family member became ill and I was looking for a diet-disease relationship. Through many years of working with patients and having family and friends affected by diabetes, I understand the challenges that accompany the day-to-day living with diabetes.”

Susan has experience with groups and individuals with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes. She has also developed numerous professional and consumer presentations on such topics as weight management, the glycemic index, and realistic expectations. In addition to her work as a certified diabetes educator, Susan has helped people lose weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle through teaching weight management classes.

Susan became involved with Fit4D when she learned she could impact the lives of people living with diabetes via the internet. Susan has lived in different regions of the U.S. and enjoys meeting and working with people from all over the country. "Fit4D offers me a unique opportunity to help people nationwide make lifestyle changes. My goal is to be a resource and provide empathy, support, guidance and motivation."
